Eliminated teams Batangas-EAC and Wangs Basketball-Letran seek one last hurrah when they mix it up for their final assignments in the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
But they will be taking on an up-and-coming Wangs-Letran crew which has drawn promising showings from holdovers Bong Quinto, JP Calvo, and Jerrick Balanza throughout its 5-5 campaign.
Though failing to advance to the playoffs, the Generals and the Couriers share the same sentiment as they gained valuable experience from their stint this conference.
What they are aiming for, though, is to end their respective runs on a high when they battle at 3 p.m.
Batangas-EAC coach Ariel Sison is highly optimistic of his wards' development through this endeavor, especially after his side's huge 89-87 shocker over CEU last Monday.
"Sana talunin namin sila," he said, banking on the likes of veterans Cedric de Joya and Cedrick Ablaza to pair up once again with young guns like Jerome Garcia an Philip Tampoc to hike up the Generals' 2-8 record.
Couriers coach Jeff Napa believes that his side has what it takes to go out on a bang and end this campaign over .500.
"Tiwala naman ako sa mga players namin. Handa yan kahit sino pa ang kalaban namin," he said.
