Go for Gold is eyeing to make it two wins in a row in the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup when it faces AMA Online Education on Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The Titans, meanwhile, want nothing but to bounce back especially after their 83-95 defeat to Marinerong Pilipino last Monday.
The Scratchers, 88-75, winner over Batangas on opening day, are slowly emerging as one of the legitimate contenders this conference.
However, coach Charles Tiu knows that Go for Gold still has ways to go, especially with the team yet to fully incorporate as one solid unit.
"Hindi kami makumpleto sa practices, but we just have to overcome that," he said. "It's a given that the team has the talent, but what we need is more practice time to familiarize each other with each one. That's the challenge for us, to play the proper way."
James Martinez remains as deadly as ever as the Scratchers garnered contributions from all over their roster in their past game, something that the squad is hoping to replicate in the 3p.m. tiff.
Top draft pick Owen Graham had a respectable debut, but he knows that AMA would need more from him, as well as his teammates, if it wants to compete in this conference.
"We gotta get a better reputation in this league and get some more respect out there," the Fil-Canadian said. "That's my number one goal right now: win as many games as possible with these guys. Like I said, my job is here to win and do what it takes."
