Alberei seeks all-important win against McDavid-La Salle Araneta to avoid elimination

ALBEREI looks to keep its flickering playoff hopes alive when it battles McDavid-La Salle Araneta in the 2019 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

The Kings were already on the brink of elimination after losing their first four games, but avoided such when they broke through at the expense of Italiano's Homme, 61-51, last Thursday.

Jomari Lacastesantos and ex-pro Jonathan Parre?o were responsible in bringing Alberei its first win, and they are once again seen to lead the way as the Kings look to repeat.

Lose in the 5:30 p.m. game and Alberei bids its playoff hopes goodbye.

"Umaasa pa rin naman kami na makakahabol kami," said Kings coach Jayson Cariaga.

McDavid-La Salle Araneta, meanwhile, is keen on quenching its thirst for a win after four failed tries.

The Stallions' last defeat came at the hands of BRT Sumisip Basilan-St. Clare last week, 100-112, where their rally from a deep 24-point deficit fell short as time was not on their side.

Nigerian slotman Henry Iloka, who has been averaging 36.8 points, 23.8 rebounds, and 2.5 blocks, is expected to be at the forefront of McDavid-La Salle Araneta's attack once more.
