RK Ilagan will be front and center for APEX Fuel Mindanao-SSCR when the Golden Stags open their 2020 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup campaign against AMA Online Senior High Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
The knockdown shooter, who set the league ablaze last season, is expected to lead a rebuilding Golden Stags team which will be without Ilagan's partner-in-crime Allyn Bulanadi.
But he will have a supporting cast led by JM Calma, Ken Villapando, Romel Calahat, and Jessie Sumoda to pick up the slack for APEX Fuel Mindanao-SSCR.
"Challenge sa amin ito na makahanap ng bagong contributors na makakatulong kay RK," said coach Egay Macaraya.

Meanwhile, the Titans are trotting a young squad this conference spearheaded by 17-year-old Reed Baclig.
The homegrown playmaker was the surprise top pick in the 2020 PBA D-League Draft and will be hard-pressed to show that he truly deserves his place at the top of the ranks.
Also suiting up for the Mark Herrera-coached AMA Online Senior High are celebrities Andre Paras and Eduardo "Young JV" Kapunan.
