Black Mamba determined to pick up some momentum heading to the playoffs

BLACK Mamba looks to gain momentum heading into the 2019 PBA D-League Foundation Cup quarterfinals when it takes on McDavid-La Salle Araneta Monday at Paco Arena in Manila.

Though already assured of the third seed in Group B, the Energy Drink want nothing but to go to the next round on a high after the 122-161 beating they got from BRT Sumisip Basilan-St. Clare last Monday.

Coach Vis Valencia will once again bank on his trio of John Tayongtong, Jett Vidal, and Peejay Barua as they look to register one more win to boost their confidence for the playoffs.

"Kailangan namin yung panalo na ito para bago kami pumasok sa playoffs, mataas ang morale ng players," he said.

But looking to spoil their plans in the 5:30 p.m. bout is the Henry Iloka-led McDavid-La Salle Araneta.

The Stallions are winless no more following their 147-133 conquest of Alberei last Thursday after losing their first four games with an average losing margin of 15.25 points.

And there's nothing more the boys of coach Michael Gonzales want other than to end this dismal campaign with back-to-back victories.
