Centro Escolar University aims for the Group A lead when it plays Nailtalk-Savio in the 2019 PBA D-League Foundation Cup on Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

But head coach Derrick Pumaren is more concerned on fine-tuning his chargers, as the Scorpions are currently rebuilding after game-fixing allegations last June led to the removal of some of its key players.
"The new guys are trying to fit in. We are still not fine-tuned yet. Wala pa kami sa tono," said the decorated tactician. "Hopefully, the games will be able to help us get to where we want to."
Senegalese big man Malick Diouf and Rich Guinitaran will man the fort for CEU while the new ones settle down to their roles.

A challenge, however, is on the horizon for the Scorpions as they face a Nailtalk-Savio side itching to redeem itself from the 98-78 humiliation from Hazchem last week.
