Family Mart-Enderun pulls off a surprise, beats AMA, 116-94, for breakthrough win

FAMILY Mart-Enderun pulled off a big surprise in the 2019 PBA D-League by taking down AMA Online Education, 116-94, on Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Valandre Chauca finished with 24 points including eight triples to show the way for the Titans, who snapped a seven-game skid for its breakthrough win in the Aspirants Group. He also had seven rebounds, and seven assists.

"We never doubted that we're gonna get at least one win," said coach Pipo Noundou.

"All the losses we had were just by single digits. It means we're close but with the lack of experience, we just had to adjust. And we took the challenge."

Richard Escoto tallied a double-double with his 17 points and 10 rebounds, John Vidal scored 10 of his 17 in the fourth period, and Mark Gatdula had 14 for Family Mart-Enderun.
