Go for Gold-CSB targets playoff seat vs lowly McDavid

GO for Gold-CSB aims to clinch a spot in the 2019 PBA D-League playoffs when it wraps up its assignment against McDavid Tuesday at JSCGO Gym in Cubao.

The Scratchers are the hottest team in the tourney so far stringing four straight wins in the Aspirants Group, and at 5-3, are in a great position to advance to the crossover quarterfinals.

But for them to do that, they have to win their 2 p.m. game first.

Go for Gold-CSB coach Charles Tiu was blunt in his reminders to his wards.

"We have to take care of business. We're slowly getting better but I hope we hope we continue it," he said after his side weathered AMA, 109-91 last May 7.

Roosevelt Adams has been a shining light for the Scratchers as they are also set to welcome back Justin Gutang to the squad for the all-important game.

McDavid, on the other hand, is just looking for a respectable finish as it sits at 1-7.

Jerwin Gaco and company are hell-bent to bounce back, especially after suffering a 93-82 defeat to St. Clare last May 2.
