St. Clare looks to progress to q'finals, battles AMA

ST. CLARE College Virtual Reality gets a chance to lock up a playoff spot when it takes on AMA Online Education in the 2019 PBA D-League Tuesday at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

The Saints may have suffered a 78-75 defeat to Ironcon-UST last Thursday, but the basketball gods have smiled on them as a win in this 4 p.m. game will immediately propel them to the next round.

St. Clare has the superior quotient against its fellow Aspirants Group teams and its 5-3 card puts them in a prime position to advance to the next round, or even clinch a twice-to-beat advantage.

A victory, however, has to be in order as coach Jinino Manansala banks on Junjie Hallare, Mohammad Pare, and Irven Palencia to get the job done.

AMA, on the other hand, is just aiming for a memorable end to a disappointing campaign this season with Joshua Munzon looking to end his sensational run in the developmental ranks on a high.
