St. Clare takes litmus test, faces Cignal Ateneo

ST. Clare College Virtual Reality tries to prove that it is for real when it battles Cignal-Ateneo on Tuesday in the 2019 PBA D-League at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

The Saints have been a revelation in the tournament, going unbeaten through their first four games to become the surprise leaders in the Aspirants Group at 4-0.

Junjie Hallare, Irven Palencia, Joshua Fontanilla, and Ray Rubio are the reason why St. Clare looks like a contender and coach Jinino Manansala is expecting the same solid performance from them against the Blue Eagles.

"Lahat naman ng teams dito are very competitive. Pero we'll prepare for Ateneo," he said.

Game time is at 1 p.m.

Cignal-Ateneo is eyeing a second straight win, but coach Tab Baldwin isn't leaving any stones unturned as he continues to preach a better quality of basketball from his side.

"We have to know the value of our possessions because that's not the right recipe to play successful basketball," he said following the Blue Eagles' 83-64 victory over Petron-Letran last Thursday.
