Top seeding at stake in Go for Gold-Che'Lu Bar and Grill tussle

The top seed is on the line when Che'Lu Bar and Grill and Go for Gold mix it up at the close of the elimination round of the 2018 PBA D-League Foundation Cup Thursday at Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.

Both carrying identical 7-2 cards, the Revellers and the Scratchers aim to be on top of the standings in their scheduled 3 p.m. game.

The Revellers tendency to be complacent remains the worry of coach Stevenson Tiu, whose chargers struggled to hack out a 100-93 victory over Batangas-EAC last week.

"Siguro ang tingin ng mga players namin, kaya naman i-walkthrough lang yung kalaban," he said. "We have to prepare every game. Lagi ko ine-emphasize na we have to get ready, we have to practice hard para ma-translate natin every game."

In the case of Go for Gold, injuries is the biggest concern of coach Charles Tiu entering the semi-finals.

"We're still missing key players. Hopefully our guys get healthy kasi ang dami pa ring nawawala," he said after their crew's 86-71 victory over Marinerong Pilipino-TIP.

Jeff Viernes, Chris Bitoon, and Jessie Collado conspired in giving Che'Lu Bar and Grill a slim 97-95 win in the two team's first meeting, and for sure, Gab Banal, Jai Reyes, and Matt Salem are aching to help Go for Gold redeem itself from that loss to cap off their elimination campaign.
