Bacolod pride Revilla promotes province thru new business

LA Revilla truly loves his own.

The NorthPort guard has ventured into business while the PBA is on a break due to COVID-19 pandemic.

And what better way to do it than to promote a product his native province is popularly known for.

Being from Bacolod, the 30-year-old guard thought of involving himself in the business of inasal (grilled chicken).

"It's well known and the most favorite of Ilonggo people," said Revilla. "And it's also one way to promote where I came from."

It's just a small business, according to LA, who sells the chicken fresh.

"Marinated lang siya kasi hindi naman kami nakakapag-grill sa condo," said the De La Salle alumnus.

"Usually yung mga nag-o-order mga household and yung may pang-grill sa bahay."

Revilla thought about it as the league operation was disrupted by the outbreak of the pandemic.

Games of the Philippine Cup remain on a standstill more than four months after the country was put under community quarantine.

The NorthPort playmaker added it's better to have extra income at this time when the resumption of the PBA is still uncertain.

"Nag-try lang na maghanap ng extra income kahit paano. At least maging productive man lang," he said.

But his business doesn't get in the way of him trying to get in shape for the season restart.

"Nagwo-workout din. Sa team namin, meron din kaming twice-a-week zoom workout," Revilla added.(RG)
