TERRAFIRMA still has the rights on Christian Standhardinger despite the decision of the big man to retire from the PBA.
Commissioner Willie Marcial stressed the point since the 35-year-old Fil-German still has a month remaining in his contract with the Dyip that runs up to the end of the year.
And even in the event Standhardinger's deal with the franchise ends, once Terrafirma makes a qualifying offer for a new contract and has the league copy furnished, the Dyip will still retain the rights on C-Stan.
In the absence of an offer, the team loses its rights on Standhardinger.
"Kapag nag-offer ang Terrafirma ng kontrata, nasa kanila yung rights. Kung hindi sila nag offer at tapos na yung kontrata, free agent na siya (Standhardinger)," said Marcial.

He has not showed up in the team practices since the Dyip returned and started training. He later notified management about his stunning decision.
The former Gilas Pilipinas center isn't eligible yet to be an unrestricted free agent since he still falls short of the required number of conferences played (21) to become a UFA. (RG)
