Go home or stay?

The fate of Columbian Dyip import Charles Aiken with the team depends on his performance in their next two games in the PBA Commissioner's Cup.

Aiken's capability to lead the team has been doubted in the aftermath of their 126-98 victory over Blackwater on Sunday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Columbian Dyip relied heavily on its local players to win their opener as the 6-foot-nine center/forward Aiken was a letdown on the offensive end.

Jeremy King and Rashawn McCarthy stood in the forefront Columbian Dyip's offensive thrust with a combined total of 52 points while Aiken had only nine points and 22 rebounds in more than 40 minutes.

"His presence in the shaded lane and rebounding is okay but we need him to be more aggressive especially against bigger imports," said Dandan of his lanky import.

According to Dandan, the game versus the Elites was Aiken's first exam and their next two games will serve as his final test.

"We'll look at him this week and see how far he can go", said Dandan, who expressed satisfaction with the performance of his local players.

Dandan, who piloted his team to only one win in the Philippine Cup, said their three games this week are critical for Aiken.

In case Aiken failed to perform convincingly in the next two games, Dandan said he will discuss with management his possible replacement.

"Management kasi ang may contact sa kanya", said Dandan.
