Leo Austria believes there's not enough time for Tim Cone to make adjustments

San Miguel Beer coach Leo Austria is anticipating that Barangay Ginebra will come up with a new game plan in Game 3 of their best-of-seven semi-finals playoffs in the PBA Philippine Cup on Tuesday at the MOA.

" Sa Game 3, sigurado meron na naman silang ilalabas and it remains to be seen" said Austria after the Beermen beat the Kings in overtime,104-102, for a commanding 2-0 lead.

Austria believes that coach Tim Cone would not be able to make a big adjustment because of time constraint.

"It's hard to prepare because the game in the semi-finals is every other day. Ang concern kasi ng coach is for the players to have rest. Kaya wala na masyadong oras", Austria said.

About his game plan, Austria said its almost the same despite the fact that Ginebra showed a lot of improvement in Game 2.

Austria admitted that in Game 2 his players were over confident that resulted in 20 turnovers.

The SMB mentor expects that without Greg Slaughter, Cone would use his seldom used players like Prince Caperal, who top scored for Ginebra with 26 points in more than 31 minutes.

"Dahil wala si Greg kailangan talaga naming mag-step up at nataon namang pumapasok 'yun mga shots ko. Masya ako dahil nakatulong ako sa team although natalo kami," said Caperal in a post game interview. (Zaldy Perez)
