PBA gathers rookies, sophies for orientation

THE Philippine Basketball Association gathers Friday morning the incoming rookies and sophomores online for the traditional player orientation in anticipation of the coming Season 46 opener.

Attendance is a must among the 33 rookies and 22 sophomores in the online conference that ushers in the league newbies to their journey in pro basketball.

Traditionally, this orientation is only for the freshmen under the league's PBA Player Development Program.

"Kasama ngayon ang mga sophomores because we're not able to hold this event for them last year because of the pandemic situation forcing us to hold Season 45 Philippine Cup in a bubble setup in Clark," said PBA commissioner Willie Marcial.

With FWD Insurance as co-presentor, the PBA is bringing back the program featuring a number of resource persons touching a variety of topics that would be helpful to the players entering pro world.
