THE PBA had a rare audience with US second gentleman Douglas Emhoff at the basketball court of Kerry Sports Manila at Shangri-La The Fort.
It was a pleasantry meeting between league officials led by Board chairman Ricky Vargas and commissioner Willie Marcial and the 57-year-old American, husband of US vice president Kamala Harris and the first ever second gentleman in American history.
PBA players Chris Newsome, Joshua Munzon, Jared Dillinger and legends Asi Taualava and Olsen Racela joined the meet up that was capped with a shoot around on the court.
"Nakipag-shooting siya," said Marcial of Emhoff.
"Nakipag-kuwentuhan din siya sa players natin. Nakikipag-lokohan pa nga."

The US Embassy in Manila arranged the meeting between the PBA and Emhoff, who led the US delegation that attended the inauguration of President-elect Bongbong Marcos Jr.
The get-together took place a day after the drawing of lots of the East Asian Super League (EASL) where two PBA teams will see action during its inaugural home-and-away tournament in October. (RG)
