"The PBA welcomes back a solid corporate partner in Philsteel," declared commissioner Willie O. Marcial during the contract signing last Wednesday (Feb. 7).
Abeto Uy, Philsteel's Chairman and CEO, said the company is happy to be part of the PBA family again.
"It is a sweet comeback for Philsteel. Like the PBA, we are homegrown yet world class."
Philsteel and PBA's partnership go a long way back. The company first joined the league as sponsor during the 2004 season.
"Our partnership with the PBA is steel-strong. We share the same market reach and audience profile," said Paul Oraa, Philsteel's Marketing Director.
