STANLEY Pringle made history in his short stint with Terrafirma by becoming the first player in franchise to score 5,000 points in the PBA.
Pringle, 38, achieved the milestone in the Dyip's 94-85 loss to the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters last week in the Philippine Cup.
The former no. 1 rookie pick reached the mark with 4:02 left in the second period and became the 100th player in the 49-year history of the league to score 5,000 points.
On Sunday, he was officially given his plaque as member of the 5,000-point club during the halftime of the Terrafirma-Blackwater game at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Commissioner Willie Marcial led the short awarding ceremony in the company of Blackwater team governor Siliman Sy.
"I really felt grateful for the award," said Pringle afterwards.

"I'm more than grateful for recognizing me for the 5,000-point record. You know I'm one of the older players coming into the league and dealing with all of these injuries. I didn't think I'll get into it," added the Fil-Am guard who was 27 years old when he was tabbed by the Globalport franchise as the top overall pick in the 2014 draft.
But he was notified by PBA resident statistician Fidel Mangonon III when he was closing in on the record.
"Kuya messaged me and told me 'you're almost there. Just keep on playing.'"
Owner of four championships and a former Best Player of the Conference awardee, Pringle is the 95th local player to achieve the feat and 15th among active players.
Pringle came on board Terrafirma when he was traded by Barangay Ginebra along with Christian Standhardinger for the duo of Stephen Holt and Isaac Go.
