THE videos Greg Slaughter has shared on social media were taken in his workouts under the care of coach Gary Boyson in a training facility in Daytona Beach, Florida.
A SunStar Cebu exclusive said Slaughter has been training hard to improve his game with a primary goal of competing for a spot in the Philippine team for the 2023 FIBA World Cup the country is hosting in 2023.
The 7-foot-2 behemoth was also quoted as saying returning to the PBA, particularly with Barangay Ginebra, is an option.
Slaughter posted the SunStar report on his Twitter account @GWillSlaughter with a caption "Fact check."
"I am open to returning to the PBA in the future. I love the fans who have been supporting me through everything and the 'Never Say Die' spirit will always be a part of me. Of course, I am open to playing for Ginebra in the future," said Slaughter as quoted by SunStar.

He stressed serving the national team in the World Cup at home is his main goal.
"As a basketball player, it's my job to always stay ready. My PBA career was uncertain with no word on a contract but playing for the Philippine national team has always been a top priority for me and something I look forward to, and want to be prepared for," said Slaughter.
A part of the original Gilas program under coach Rajko Toroman, Slaughter has had his last duty with Team Phl in the last SEA Games, then helped Ginebra complete another title run in the season-ending PBA tourney.
At the end of his contract, he left the country for a sabbatical in the United States.
"I was not offered a deal by Ginebra even after my contract expired at the end of January. I found it strange because previous contract dealings I was well informed ahead of time," he said.
