Yeng Guiao: NLEX still on the lookout for trades

Yeng Guiao and the NLEX Road Warriors are sill in hot pursuit to get key players.
Especially after the team suffered its second straight loss.

“I’m disappointed, of course,” Guiao told pba.ph in a telephone interview. “We thought that after we were able to hang and push a veteran team like Rain or Shine to the limit, we have a good chance of beating Meralco, but it didn’t happen.”

In their debut game Friday, Guiao and the Road Warriors were able to give his former team, the defending champion Elasto Painters a good fight though failing to get the 'W' in a tight encounter.

But against the Bolts, the Road Warriors were beaten soundly, much to the dismay of the fiery mentor.

The mutli-titled coach said they will still continue with their plans of pursuing trades, despite failed negotiations prior to the start of the conference.

“We felt that after the failed negotiations, it would serve as a blessing in disguise. Hindi pala,” added Guiao. “We will continue the search. The players knew na wala pa kaming napapatunayan and they knew that anybody could be traded.”
