AMA faces Batangas-EAC in showdown of winless teams

Winless teams seek to get out of the cellar when AMA Online Education and Batangas-EAC clash Monday in the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.

Both given 11 days to assess their situation after dropping their first three assignments, both the Titans and the Generals believe that they've already devised a fool-proof plan to finally end the slump.

Tip-off is at 2p.m.

Exuding in confidence, Batangas-EAC coach Ariel Sison knows that his boys are willing to do everything just to chalk one in the win column.

"We're preparing hard to win that game. Whatever it takes, we will get that first win," he said.

The Generals came close in snapping that skid, coming back from 21-points down but could not finish the job against Marinerong Pilipino last February 1 and eventually falling, 78-92.

It was almost the same case for AMA Online Education, failing to maintain its early lead before succumbing to Che'Lu Bar and Grill-San Sebastian, 79-83.

Luckily for coach Mark Herrera, the Titans have a new top gun to lean on with Robbie Manalang now leading the charge.

"We still want to get the W. But it's still early in the season. We're still gonna jell with each other and hopefully, by next game we'll be a lot better," said the former Adamson playmaker.
