Jawbreakers determined to finish the eliminations on a winning note

Zark's Burger-Lyceum faces Perpetual with playoff positioning firmly on its mind Tuesday in the 2018 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup at Pasig Sports Center.

Earning a ticket to the playoffs with their 6-4 card, all the Jawbreakers could hope right now is to finish as high as fifth, though that would still put them in a twice-to-win disadvantage come the quarterfinals.

Coach Topex Robinson, however, believes that his team's slump in the middle of the conference has already been rectified as Zark's-Lyceum eyes to end the eliminations on a good note in the 2p.m. tiff.

"The way I see it, the players are now more engaged. Coming to the playoffs, nakuha na ulit namin yung drive," he said after the Jawbreakers' 91-81 win over JRU last March 22.

He's not discounting the Altas, though, as Robinson is wary of the threat of the also-ran squad.

"We know they're also a strong team and a well-coached one. Their standing is not indicative of how good they could perform," he said.

Zark's-Lyceum will lean on top guns CJ Perez, Jaycee Marcelino, and Mike Nzeusseu for the game as it prepares itself for the playoffs.

On the other hand, Perpetual is aiming to make the most of its last game as coach Frankie Lim banks on Prince Eze and Edgar Charcos to halt its two-game losing slide and improve its 3-7 record.
