MARINERONG Pilipino-San Beda eyes a quick passage to the semifinals when it takes on the listless Keanzel Basketball in the 2024 PBA D-League Aspirants' Cup quarterfinals on Monday at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
The Red Lions were relegated to the quarterfinals after losing their last two games in the classification phase. Nevertheless, they enjoy a twice-to-beat advantage being the No. 3 seed and remain the heavy favorite to dispose off sixth-seeded Keanzel Basketball, which advance to the next round without a win to show.
Game time is at 4:30 p.m.
"We expected a tough week playing CEU and La Salle but the team is very positive and looking forward to playing in the quarters," said San Beda coach Yuri Escueta.
"We needed those kinds of games to gauge our team and learn. It makes us humble and work harder."
