CENTRO Escolar University made short work of CD14 Designs-Trinity University of Asia for a 93-69 blowout -- its fifth straight win in the 2019 PBA D-League on Monday at JCSGO Gym in Cubao.
Maodo Malick Diouf powered the Scorpions' hot start as they grabbed an early 31-15 first quarter lead that extended to 28, 45-17, midway through the second period.
Diouf eventually finished with 27 points, 18 rebounds, and four blocks as the Scorpions dominated their rivals throughout.
Jan Formento came off the bench to score 17 points on 6-of-8 field goal shooting, while Judel Fuentes and Pierce Chan had 13 apiece.
"I was worried about my team because (CD14 Designs-Trinity was) winless and my team might just take them for granted," said coach Derrick Pumaren.

John Tayongtong and Gab Reyes paced the winless White Stallions with 11 points each.
