JAPETH Aguilar and Christian Standhardinger have worked together before, albeit for just a short period of time.
Now, the Twin-Towers are in for the long haul.
The 6-foot-9 Aguilar can't wait to finally form a solid partnership with the 6-foot-8 Standhardinger at Barangay Ginebra after previously teaming-up together to man the frontcourt for Gilas Pilipinas.
The two big men were with the national team that reached the quarterfinals of the 2017 FIBA Asia Cup in Lebanon and won together a gold medal in the basketball competitions of the 2019 Southeast Asian Games here under coach Tim Cone.
After playing alongside each other with Gilas, Aguilar and Standhardinger are together once more at Barangay Ginebra starting this 46th PBA season.

"I'm really looking forward to it. Nagkaroon na kami ng chance to play together," said the 34-year-old Aguilar during the virtual launching of Barangay Ginebra's new playing jersey.
"Maganda naman yung kinalabasan ng tournaments namin na mga yun."
Expectations are indeed, high on the Kings especially after acquiring Standhardinger from NorthPort in a one-on-one trade with 7-footer Greg Slaughter.
The 31-year-old Fil-German after all, will be coming on board to a Barangay Ginebra side that won the Philippine Cup championship last season inside the Clark bubble with only Aguilar and 6-foot-7 Prince Caperal alternating in manning the middle for the league's most popular ballclub. (RG)
