PUREFOODS and Blackwater Red President scored contrasting victories on Wednesday to arrange a finals showdown in the 14-Under division of the Batang PBA at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
Jan Bennet Cagurungan tallied 12 points, Ziv Gabriel Espinas had 11 and Zane Xavier Kallos chipped in 10 to power the Batang TJ Titans to 75-58 victory while snapping the NLEX Batang Road Warriors' four-game winning streak.
Mhale Jhello Lumague scored 20 points, including 12 in the fourth quarter as the Batang Red President erased a 51-54 third quarter deficit and beat Cavitex, 78-70.
Carl Anthony Songco and Nickson Andwele Caba?ero added 14 and 10 points, respectively, for the Batang Red President, who remained unbeaten in four games.
The 12-Under finale will feature Ginebra and Meralco.

Ginebra fended off Terrafirma, 66-57, while Meralco trounced Sista, 81-57, in the knockout semis.
Simon Jacob Jazul and Jeff Dominic Juangco scored 14 points each for Ginebra, which erased a 29-36 third quarter deficit and went on to extend its winning streak to four games.
Meralco also trailed,11-23, after the first quarter but siblings Isaac Miguel and Lorenzo Miguel Purugganan came off the bench in the second quarter to bail the Batang Bolts.
Isaac Miguel scored 10 of his team-high15 points in the second period while Lorenzo Miguel finished with 11 . Andrei Miguel Albino chipped in 13 points for Meralco.
The finals in both divisions will be played Thursday at the same venue with Ginebra and Meralco clashing at 9 a.m. followed by the 10:30 a.m. collision between Purefoods and Blackwater Red President. (JBU)
