GINEBRA cruised past Blackwater, 59-43, to complete a perfect championship run in the 2024 Batang PBA-Centrum Kids 9-Under tournament on Monday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Jariel Centeno scored 12 points to lead the Batang Gin Kings to its fourth straight win. Liam Lazaro contributed 11 and Nicole Gab Dapatnapo added 10.
Ginebra, which also beat Blackwater, Magnolia and Converge in the elimination rounds, opened the game with a 16-5 run and held on from there en route to its 16-point triumph.
Franco Maximo topscored with 14 points while Lei Amir Caalim, Dion Alexander David and Gabriel Sese had six points each for the Batang Bossing.
Blackwater, which finished last in the four-team elims, pulled the rug from under No. 2 seed Converge, 47-39, in the knockout semis to barge into the finals.
