SAN Miguel Beer and Meralco won convincingly over their respective opponents at the start of the 2023 Batang PBA 11-Under division Wednesday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig.
Fritz Avillano showed the way with 15 points for the Batang Beermen who clobbered the Talk 'N Text Tropang Giga, 63-42, to take the early lead in Group D.
Andrei Ancheta scored 10 points and Liam Jardin added eight for SMB, which raced to a 24-2 advantage.
In Group B, Meralco romped past NLEX, 55-40, behind the efforts of Alexis John Estrada and Karl Gregory Gandionco, who tallied 10 points apiece.
Alphonse Ryan Sanchez led TNT with 18 points while Elijah Jose Escoto showed the way for NLEX with 15.

Twelve teams divided into four groups of three are competing in the tournament confined to kids 11 years and below. Magnolia is also in Group B and Terrafirma is in Group D.
Barangay Ginebra, Blackwater and Converge make up Group A while Northport, Phoenix and Rain or Shine comprise Group C.
The top team in each group after the single-round eliminations advance to the knockout semifinals.
The Batang PBA 3x3 was also introduced as an exhibition game with Magnolia beating Ginebra, 13-2.
Composing the Magnolia roster are Cian Lazaro, Adiel Stuart Casenas, Jesse Immanuel and Joaquin De Guzman while Ginebra is composed of Bryan Mojica, Matte Mavrides, Edward Allen Manuel and Robin Marcial. (JBU)
