THE training camps of both Meralco and TnT Tropang Giga are not all about basketball.
The two teams under the MVP Group did something novel in their return to Laoag, Ilocos Norte after doing some clean up at the shores of Fort Ilocandia Resort.
The Bolts did their eco-friendly thing late Monday afternoon following their regular practice as they scour for plastic bottles, junks, debris, and other trash that were washed on the shorelines.
Meralco main man Chris Newsome described the activity as a 'little different' from the usual scrimmages and physical conditioning the Bolts had been doing since arriving at training camp last week.
The Tropang Giga also allotted some time at what coach Chot Reyes referred to as 'doing something for Mother Nature,' as they also held a beach cleanup a week before the Bolts did their own thing.

TnT star Roger Pogoy said it's the team's own small way of helping preserve nature, especially with the Tropang Giga also spending time doing sprints and cardio workouts at the beach as part of their training camp.
TnT has since returned to Manila after spending the second installment of their bubble training in the same province up north.
The Bolts meanwhile, are expected to wrap up their own training by this weekend. (RG)
