Bossing ready to move on

JEFF Cariaso remains optimistic of Blackwater's campaign in the PBA Governors' Cup even after suffering its third straight loss Sunday night.

The arrival of new import Cameron Clark gives Cariaso the added enthusiasm the Bossing can still turn things around even after the exit of former NBA player Ricky Ledo.

"There's still seven games left and we feel like once we get rolling, and hopefully this import will give us the spark that we need, then you never know what can happen," said the Blackwater coach after the team's 128-108 loss to San Miguel at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

"We're still very optimistic and very positive about this conference."

The Bossing had no choice but to replace Ledo, the 31-year-old former Dallas Maverick and New York Knick, who failed to live up to expectations following a lackluster performance in the two games he played for the franchise.

With Ledo sent packing home, the Bossing played all-Filipino against San Miguel.

The Bossing held their own against the Beermen early on, but had no answer once San Miguel flexed its full strength in the second half.

Blackwater is set to parade the returning Clark in its next game against Barangay Ginebra on Friday.
