FRESH from steering Barangay Ginebra to its latest PBA championship, Justin Brownlee will be at the helm anew of this current batch of imports seeing action in the coming Governors' Cup.
The 34-year-old Brownlee, whose naturalization was finally signed last week, suits up for the Kings anew in the same tournament where he made his debut and won his first crown with the franchise in 2016 as a replacement for the injured Paul Harris.
Just last week before a record-shattering crowd of 54,589 at the Philippine Arena, the Ginebra import erupted for 34 points and added eight rebounds and 12 assists in leading the team to the Commissioner's Cup championship opposite guest team Bay Area Dragons, 114-99.
Brownlee and the Kings will just take a two-week breather before starting their campaign in the season-ending meet which comes off the wraps on Sunday at the Philsports Arena.
A native of Tifton, Georgia, Brownlee will be up against new and familiar faces when the Kings put their Governors' Cup title on the line.

Among the new ones suiting up this conference include Jordan Williams (Terrafirma), Marcus Weathers (NorthPort), Ethan Rusbatch (Converge), Erik McCree (Magnolia), Jalen Hudson (TNT) and Jonathon Simmons (NLEX).
Of the six, Simmons obviously has the most impressive credentials, having played 258 games in the NBA for teams San Antonio, Orlando, and Philadelpia.
The returning imports aside from Brownlee are KJ McDaniels (Meralco), Shawn Glover (Blackwater), Du'Vaughn Maxwell (Phoenix), Michael Qualls (Rain or Shine), and Cameron Clark (San Miguel).
Qualls and McDaniels face off right away as Meralco and Rain or Shine clash in the first game on opening day, followed by the Converge-NorthPort duel in the main match that will see the respective debuts of Rusbatch and Weathers. (RG)
