FIT again Isaac Go is playing solid so far for Terrafirma in the PBA On Tour that coach Johnedel Cardel sees a bright future ahead for the young big man.
As the former Ateneo center teamed up with Eric Camson down the stretch of the Dyip's 107-102 win over the Meralco Bolts, Cardel said it's just a matter of time before Go reaches star status in Asia's pioneering pro league.
Go had 11 points and five rebounds in the team's third win in six outings as he continues his return from active duty after missing almost the entire season last year when he went down with an ACL injury.
Cardel said as of the moment, the 27-year-old Go is just 70 to 75 percent healthy.
"Yung speed niya wala pa. But the talent is there, the shooting is there," the Terrafirma coach pointed out.

"Yung speed talaga niya at lakas ng katawan ang wala pa," added Cardel. "Kapag nakuha niya yun, I think Isaac will be a superstar in the PBA."
Go was picked no. 1 by the Dyip during the 2019 special Gilas rookie draft following a stellar career with the Blue Eagles that saw him won three UAAP men's basketball championship with the school.
Even while in college, the 6-foot-7 center has been known for carrying excess weight that former Ateneo coach Tab Baldwin once had him on a no-rice diet.
Cardel said Go should watch over his weight if he is looking to have a long playing career as a pro.
"Kailangan magbawas siya ng timbang. Kailangan maging solid siya kasi this is a physical game," the Terrafirma coach pointed out.

"The PBA is a physical game. Kapag mahina ang katawan mo dito, injuries would come. So you have to prepare your body well."
Better heed the advice of your coach, Isaac. (RG)
