JAYSON Castro is now in the process of undergoing full recovery after a successful surgery on the patella tendon tear on his right knee which he suffered in Game 2 of the PBA Commissioner's Cup semifinals.
The 38-year-old veteran guard went under the knife early Sunday morning and currently recovering at his home in Pampanga.
TNT strength and conditioning coach Dexter Aseron said the operation just took an hour to complete.
"Mabilis lang siya. Na-discharge din siya agad," he said.
Castro is walking with the help of an immobilizer, according to Aseron, after which therapy and rehab follow which could take almost a year.

He was stretchered out of the Philsports Arena and went straight to the hospital for an MRI.
The following day, TNT management announced that its long-time acknowledged leader is ruled out for the remainder of the season.
