TIM Cone doesn't think the hurting knee of import Tony Bishop would be a concern as Barangay Ginebra primes up for the coming PBA Commissioner's Cup playoffs.
The veteran coach disclosed Bishop was a game time decision against Northport in their Sunday game at the Smart Araneta Coliseum as the do-it-all import skipped practice for two days after banging up his knee.
But the warrior in him had Bishop suiting up for the all-important match and delivered a team-high 26 points, 16 rebounds, and two assists in a 103-93 win that boosted the defending champions' bid for a twice-to-beat advantage in the quarterfinals with their 7-3 record in a tie for fourth and fifth place with San Miguel Beer.
"He didn't practice for two days and he came and played. So we'll check out his knee and see if it continues to swell or it gets worse," said Cone of the import's health condition.
"But so far, so good, according to Tony. Everything's good."

The good thing about the injury is that it only needs a lot of icing the banged-up knee, according to Cone.
"All the ligaments are intact. So it's a matter of just maintenance and getting it iced to keep the swelling down. But there's no surgery or real rehab involved," Cone said.
Bishop said his knee is not going to be a concern.
"I played through injuries a bit. It's part of the game. Going to the playoffs, I don't know anybody who's not banged up,' he stressed. (RG)
