Converge acquires Heading from Terrafirma in exchange for 2 players, draft pick

COACHES Franco Atienza, Charles Tiu and Rajko Toroman know well that Jordan Heading would be a vital piece for Converge.

And so, Converge acquired Heading from Terrafirma by trading guard Aljun Melecio, Keith Zaldivar and its first round pick in Season 51 to the Dyip.

Heading was selected first by Terrafirma in Season 47 Gilas Special Draft but never played for the Dyip. Instead, the Fil-Aussie, known for his outside shooting, took his talent overseas with stints in Japan, Taiwan and Australia.

The acquisition of Heading and the impending arrival of No. 1 rookie pick Justine Baltazar, who is set to join Converge at the end of Pampanga's campaign in the MPBL should add depth to the FiberXers, who made the playoffs of the recently concluded Governors' Cup.

The former Gilas Pilipinas pool member had his last overseas stint with the West Adelaide Bearcats in the NBL1 last season where he averaged 15.5 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.8 assists.
