CStan claims Governors' Cup Davco-BPC award in runaway fashion

FOUR years after, Christian Standhardinger is back as Davco-PBA Governors' Cup Best Player of the Conference.

The Fil-German big man of Barangay Ginebra won the honor in overwhelming fashion over Roger Pogoy of TNT and San Miguel's CJ Perez.

Standhardinger totaled 1,110 points in clinching his second BPC award after first winning it during the 2019 Governors' Cup while still with NorthPort Batang Pier.

In doing so, he became the fourth player to win the award with different franchises after Willie Miller, Eric Menk, and Calvin Abueva.

He emerged no. 1 in statistics with 534 points and topped both the players and media votes, with 506 and 70, respectively.

Pogoy was a distant second with 672 total behind 420 statistical points and 200 and 52 on players and media votes.

Perez came second in the statistical points with 463, but only received 88 media and 10 players' votes.

Two Barangay Ginebra player in reigning MVP Scottie Thompson and Jamie Malonzo round out the BPC race with 497 and 456 points, respectively. (RG)
