IMPORT Brandon Edwards finally gets to play for Terrafirma a conference later.
The Dyip are bringing back the hulking Edwards as replacement for Ryan Richards, who played his last game for the team in the PBA Commissioner's Cup on Tuesday in a 104-85 loss to NLEX at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
Coach Raymond Tiongco said Edwards is looking to suit up for the Dyip this weekend against Meralco.
"Friday hopefully, nandito na yung import namin," he said as the Dyip fell to a 0-3 record.
The 33-year-old import from Texas was supposed to be Terrafirma's import in the last Governors' Cup, but suffered a knee injury just a week before the kickoff of the season-opening conference.

He was later replaced by Antonio Hester.
While he may be an undersized at 6-foot-6 in a conference that features unlimited height among imports, Edwards' familiarity with the team is his biggest asset.
"Kaya ko siya kinukuha kahit undersized kasi alam niya na yung sistema namin," said Tiongco.
Edwards did his rehab in the country and even after recovering from the injury, he remained based here and practiced with Terrafirma prior to signing a contract in Indonesia.
His stint in Indonesia didn't pan out, eventually leading Edwards back to Terrafirma.

"Hinabol ko siya (Edwards) today, pero yung Indonesia team, medyo na-late yung release ng papers," said Tiongco.
Edwards will be taking over Richards, who had six point and seven rebounds in his final outing with the Dyip.
