DESPITE its losing record, Terrafirma has been making heads turn in the PBA Philippine Cup.
Champion coaches Yeng Guiao of NLEX and Magnolia's Chito Victolero are among those who see the promise and potential of the young Dyip squad under coach Johnedel Cardel.
Both the Road Warriors and the Hotshots are two of the teams responsible for the 0-4 start of the Dyip, who are in the bottom of the standings together with Blackwater Bossing.
But Guiao and Victorlero are also the first to recognize the immense talent of Terrafirma led by the two no. 1 overall picks in the 2019 and 2020 drafts in Joshua Munzon and Roosevelt Adams.
"Malakas na team itong Terrafirma. I think their rookies, their young guns have potential," acknowledged Guiao whose Road Warriors dealt the Dyip a 108-94 beating last July 25.

Victolero agrees with Guiao.
"I think they have the talent. It's just a matter of time kung paano mabubuo yung chemistry ng team," said the Hotshots mentor following Magnolia's 105-83 victory over the same team three days after.
Victolero, who once coached the KIA franchise, believes the Dyip will be a forced to reckon with once they finally put together their individual talent into one cohesive unit.
"The role and chemistry ng team, I think yun ang kailangan nilang ma-figure out kung papaano makakakuha ng panalo, na mapagsama-sama nila yung talent nila," he added.
Terrafirma however, may have to put things together without the help of the 26-year-old Munzon, who dislocated his pinky finger on his left hand during the Dyip's game against Magnolia.

Prognosis of his absence may last for at least six weeks.
Still, the Dyip remain a team with a lot of promise.
"This is a big team, very physical and very athletic," Guiao noted. Dyip make impression in spite of losing record. (RG)
