Eric Camson, Raymond Almazan, Michael Miranda get what they deserved

Three players involved in separate skirmishes last week drew fines and suspensions from the PBA Commissioner Office on Tuesday.

Eric Camson and Raymond Almazan were meted one game suspension each for their involvement in a scuffle during a PBA Philippine Cup game between Rain or Shine and KIA last Saturday at the Cuneta Astrodome.

Both players were ejected from the game eventually won by the Picanto.
Camson also drew P30,000 fine for instigating the incident while Almazan was slapped P20,000.

Camson will serve his suspension on Wednesday when KIA plays struggling Meralco at the Araneta Coliseum.

NLEX big man Michael Miranda also drew a one game suspension for kicking San Miguel guard Chris Ross in the groin in last Saturday's encounter between the two teams. He was also fined P20,000 for being banished from the court for a flagrant 2 foul.

Interestingly, Miranda and Almazan will serve their suspensions on Friday in a game between Rain or Shine and NLEX.

"The PBA will not hesitate to act if the evidence so warrants. The league, its players and officials are called upon to uphold the highest standard of respect that our youth can look upon as example", said PBA Officer In Charge Willie Marcial, who summoned the three players on Tuesday before handing out his decision.
