Erram's stats line indicates his perfect fit for the Tropang Giga

POY Erram showed what the TNT Tropang Giga could expect from him once he has settled down.

Erram delivered 27 and grabbed 15 rebounds to power the Tropang Giga to a 107-88 romp of defending Philippine Cup San Miguel Beermen last Friday at the Smart 5G powered Angeles University Foundation Arena in Pampanga.

Certainly, it was a proud moment for team consultant Mar Dickel and coach Bong Rvena, who moved heaven and earth during the off season to acquire the former Ateneo big man in a trade with NLEX.

For the first in years, TnT has a certified man in the middle to challenge San Miguel's June Mr Fajardo, Ginebra's Japeth Aguilar and NorthPort's Christian Standhardinger.

Ravena though was quick to admit that it would take some time for Erram develop his potential and fit in.

"Slowly but surely," Ravena said.

The 6-foot-8 center is averaging a solid 15.8 points, 10 rebounds and 2.5 assists in four games in the PBA bubble.

But more than those numbers, Erram will have to learn to control his emotions that tend to take away his focus from the game.

That was the case during his team debut last Oct. 11. Erram was ejected with 20 second left in the third quarter of their game against Alaska after picking up his second technical foul for second motion.

"Understandably, he got frustrated. But he needs to be patient and learn to adjust," said Ravena.

TnT picked Erram in second round and 15th overall during the 2013 but didn't sign him up. (PL)
