Espinas still working to fit into GlobalPort's system

Global Port coach Pido Jarencio gave his newly acquired players--- Gabby Espinas and Paulo Taha -- a thumbs up with their performances in the Batang Pier's 133-115 rout of Columbian Dyip in the PBA Commissioner's Cup Friday.

"Yung dalawa naming acquired players baka nakatulong. Masyadong beterano na", said Jarencio.

Informed about the statement, Espinas said he's thankful to Jarencio.

Espinas, who scored four points with three assists and three rebounds played a big role under the basket in 19:15 minutes.

Asked if he expects more playing time with his new team, Espinas said: Hindi ako nag-e-expect ng malaking playing time.
The veteran player said he is still adjusting with GlobalPort's system.

Before being traded, Espinas played only one game for San Miguel in the on-going Commissioner's Cup. In the Philippine Cup he averaged13 minutes per game with 3.3 ppg and 3.8 rebounds.

GlobalPort acquired Espinas in a trade with enforcer Kelly Nabong while Taha was traded by Ginebra in exchange for Julian Sargent. (Zaldy Perez)
