AS expected, June Mar Fajardo of San Miguel Beer leads the early race for the Season 47 MVP award at the conclusion of the PBA Philippine Cup.
The 6-foot-10 Fajardo garnered the highest average statistical points after leading the Beermen in regaining the all-Filipino title by dethroning TNT Tropang Giga.
Fajardo amassed 42.6 sps behind averages of 18.7 points, a league-best 14.2 rebounds, 3.1 assists, and 1.3 block shots in 26 games played, including the entire finals that went the full route.
Two years removed from a fractured right tibia that kept him out for an entire season, Fajardo was back in his old, dominant self this season that already saw him emerged as the Best Player of the Conference and Finals MVP.
Teammate CJ Perez is giving Fajardo a run for his money though, finishing second in the statistical race with 37.9 points built around numbers of 18.4 points, 6.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists, while leading the league in steals with 2.5 per game.

On the other hand, a trio of sophomore make it to the Top 10 list of MVP candidates.
