PLAYING for Converge in the PBA On Tour, Jolo Mendoza hopes he ends up with the same team once he applies for the coming rookie draft.
The 25-year-old guard out of Ateneo disclosed he definitely welcomes the scenario if and when the FiberXers decide to use one of their draft picks on him.
Mendoza has nothing but praise for Converge coach Aldin Ayo, who he referred to as a 'phenomenal coach.'
"Iba yung philosophies niya e," he said of the UAAP and NCAA champion coach. "Kaya very thankful ako na na-experience ko yung way of training niya kasi ang dami kong napupulot."
Despite the lack of practice lately, the former Batang Gilas stalwart showed exactly what he can do after leading Converge to a 104-90 win over Phoenix Friday at the Ynares Sports Arena.

Mendoza hit 7-of-12 from three-point range to finish with a game-high 26 points as the FiberXers evened their record at 4-4 in the preseason.
The 5-foot-9 guard said he's still a long way from getting back into his usual playing ways, but at the same time, disclosed his plan to apply in the Season 48 draft sometime in September.
And if ever, he'll definitely wanted to join the same PBA franchise he's playing for right now.
"Of course (on playing for Converge). Having able to play for coach Aldin after going against him in the UAAP for so long," said Mendoza.
The feeling is mutual, according to Ayo, but hopes Mendoza would still be available should the FiberXers get their turn to pick.
"Pag umabot siya siguro sa spots namin, we might get him," said the Converge coach.(RG)
