Donte Greene expressed his apology in his conversation with Comm. Andres Narvasa this afternoon regarding his comments after TNT KaTropa's game against the San Miguel Beermen last Friday, May 5, 2017.
"It was all a joking matter between me and Rhodes, but I understand there are some things you just can say. I didn't mean to offend the referees that refereed the game on Friday and I apologize to them," Greene said.
"I wanna thank the league for understanding where I was coming from and I accept all penalties that come down with it," he added.
Greene and SMB import Charles Rhodes smack-talked each other even after Friday's game.
Rhodes was quoted saying, "He didn't challenge me. He's scared to guard me," when asked about Greene.

Donte, after reporters mentioned what Charles said of him, then replied, "No, I wasn't scared to guard him. He plays for San Miguel, so you know, he has the refs in his back pocket."
Greene meanwhile lauded the Filipinos' love and passion for basketball which makes him feel right at home.
"I love it! It's been fun, the fans are great, they know who you are and they know your stats and what you've been doing. It's pretty fun, it feels like being back home."
