RAIN or Shine and Meralco struck a one-on-one trade involving Fil-Am guards a few days before the PBA Governors Cup kicks off.
Under the deal, the Bolts sent Trevis Jackson to the Elasto Painters in exchange for rookie Franky Johnson.
The 26-year-old Jackson spent two and a half years with the Meralco franchise, which selected him no. 5 overall in the 2018 Draft.
The Santa Monica, California native played in his first finals during the 2019 Governors' Cup, where the Bolts finished runner-up behind champion Barangay Ginebra Kings.
The Meralco management wished the best for the career of its former player.

Johnson meanwhile, played for just a single conference with Rain or Shine, where he was initially lined up as part of its 3x3 side, before getting a call up for the 5-on-5 team during the last Philippine Cup at the Bacolor bubble.
He was the no. 17 overall pick by the Elasto Painters in the 2020 draft. (RG)
