James Yap look to improve his success rate in Game 7 as Rain or Shine seek an all-important victory against Magnolia in their best-of-seven PBA Philippine Cup semi-final series on Sunday.
The winner earns the right to face defending champion San Miguel in a best-of-seven titular series.
It marks the eighth time Yap gets to play a Game 7 but this will be his first since joining the Elasto Painters in 2016.
Yap has a 5-2 record in Game 7 appearances. He hopes his success continue against a team where his spent his first 12 years.
"Sobrang excited," said Yap after the E-Painters staved off elimination with a 91-81 win Friday night and forced a do-or-die match.

Yap's Game 7 victories were recorded during the 2006 Philippine Cup semi-finals when Purefoods battled back from a 3-1 deficit against Alaska and in the 2008 Philippine Cup semi-finals opposite Red Bull.
His other wins were in the 2012 Commissioner's Cup when B-Meg prevailed over Talk 'N Text in a thrilling overtime affair, San Mig Coffee's 2013 Governors' Cup triumph against Petron Blaze and against for San Mig in the 2014 Philippine Cup semi-finals opposite Barangay Ginebra San Miguel.(JT)
