JUNE Mar Fajardo just set another PBA record - and still counting.
On Wednesday, the San Miguel star won an all-time mark sixth Galvalume 55-PBA Best Player of the Conference award as he once again solidified his stature as a dominant force in the Philippine Cup.
Fajardo's crowning glory came just before Game 4 of the best-of-seven Finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
National Sales Heads for Building Products Al Nieva and Vicky De Leon, together with league commissioner Willie Marcial, were on hand to present the 6-foot-10 Fajardo the award from Philsteel's Galvalume 55.
The 28-year-old big man tallied a total of 1,279 points in topping the media, players, and PBA votes to win in runaway fashion and surpassed two-time MVP Danny Ildefonso, his former San Miguel teammate and mentor, for the most number of BPC titles won.

San Miguel teammate Arwind Santos was a faraway runner-up with 670 points, followed by Barangay Ginebra's Japeth Aguilar with 589. Rounding up the list were Stanley Pringle of Globalport (406), and Blackwater's JP Erram (392).
Fajardo's winning margin of 609 points over Santos was the most by any BPC winner since Jay Washington, then playing also for San Miguel, won the award by 665 points over closest rival Harvey Carey of TnT Katropa during the 2011 Philippine Cup.
Fajardo, a homegrown yet world class like Philsteel - the local steel conglomerate behind popular roofing brands like Galvalume, Colorbond, and Galvabond - bagged his fifth straight BPC award. His other BPC title came in the 2015 Governors Cup.
Just last season, the San Miguel center also set a new league record by becoming the first ever player to win the MVP title for four straight year.(RG)
