Alumni of Letran now playing in the PBA bonded together for a common good by auctioning their respective playing jerseys to raise funds for those in the frontline in this time of the coronavirus pandemic.
NLEX guard Kevin Alas led the group by auctioning his signed Gilas Pilipinas jersey and a rare pair of Kobe 8 sneakers, both of which he wore during his first stint with the national team.
The starting bid for the jersey was at P1,500, while the sneaker at P3,000.
The Gilas uniform was bought at P2,000, while the winning bid for the Kobe shoes was at P6,100.
Also contributing to the cause are the Meralco trio of Raymond Almazan, Bong Quinto, and Bryan Fajardo, Phoenix guard RJ Jazul, Alaska forward Kevin Racal, and Columbian Dyip playmaker JP Calvo, all of whom auctioned their respective PBA jerseys.

Jazul is selling no less than three jerseys - his playing uniform with Phoenix and two Letran shirts.
Incoming rookies Bonbon Batiller of Columbian and Barangay Ginebra's Jerrick Balanza pitched in too, by offering their Letran championship jerseys.
The funds to be raised in the project spearheaded by the Dominican Province of the Philippines Inc. will be used to purchase and provide doctors, nurses, and medical staff the PPEs (Personal Protective Equipment) they need to fight the threat of the coronavirus.
The PPEs will be distributed to hospitals around Metro Manila and neighboring areas.(RG)
