Look who gets a 'bubble' haircut

AS expected, hair cutting in the PBA bubble proved to be a big hit.

Players, coaches, and even league personnel were among those who availed of the hair cut services that was made available almost one month since the season formally restarted.

Scottie Thompson, Stanley Pringle, James Yap, Roger Pogoy, Troy Rosario, Jayson Castro, Jackson Corpuz, coaches Leo Austria, Topex Robinson, among others, were part of the total 86 persons who had their hair trimmed courtesy of Folk Barbershop and Retail.

The one-and-a-half day hair cutting was a success that more players actually had to be turned down in lieu of the strict health protocols now being observed in the bubble.

Due to the numerous requests among players, the league is considering of having another one-day reserved for hair cutting activity, possibly by the end of November.

For a minimal fee, players had their favorite hairstyle done by the four professional barbers brought along by Brian Gabriel Corella, general manager of Folk Barbershop.

The barbershop, owned by a group of former college classmates, has its main branch in Escolta, Binondo and offers the Maverick men's grooming pomade.

The five-man barber team underwent RT-PCR testing and self-isolation before entering the Clark bubble.

"Laking tulong ito. Mahirap din kasing nagalalaro ng mahaba ang buhok," said Corpuz, the Magnolia forward known for dying his hair with different color every game day.

"Ngayon wala muna yun (coloring of hair). Gupit lang ok na." (RG)
